Child Welfare leaders throughout the world are faced with increasing challenges to carry out their unique organizational mission with limited resources, increasing need for advanced technology and use of social media, a new workforce and ever complex societal and family dynamics. WorldForum 2016 provides an opportunity for CEO’s to think outside the box for solutions and strategies which enable them to achieve their organization missions while embracing technological and programmatic advances.

This event will take place in Santa Fe, New Mexico, an ideal setting for idea exchange and relationship building.  The event is scheduled to take place immediately before the Albuquerque International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta so attendees will have the opportunity to take advantage of that event if they wish.

The IFCW WorldForum is convened regularly — an event where the executive leadership of both established and emerging national non-governmental child welfare organizations mutually share current successes and challenges and receive capacity building (how to) technical assistance from each other to strengthen and enable each NGO to better implement the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in its own country, culture and society.

IFCW’s WorldForum 2016 in Santa Fe, NM is inviting selected Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of nongovernmental Child Welfare Organizations from every Continent to participate in addressing issues of capacity building during this period of international economic downturn that places stress on critically needed resources, both human and financial, within nonprofit child welfare organizations.

To encourage the widest range of participation from across the world, our registration goals include:

1) A single multi-person registration fee opportunity for CEOs to register themselves as a requirement and also include two others from their organization as full attendees or accompanying persons. By offering a single registration fee covering multiple registrants of the same organization, we are able to provide a modest average registration fee per individual for the four day event.

2) Enabling the widest participation by offering a proportional matching grant credit to the chief executive of every national nongovernmental, non-profit child welfare organization, whether established or just emerging and from anywhere in the developed or developing world.

To accomplish these goals, the IFCW offers three registration categories: 1) for current and renewing IFCW members; 2) for non-members who wish to apply for membership as well as register for the WorldForum; and 3) for non-members who wish ONLY to register for the WorldForum.

The WorldForum Registration fee does NOT include: 1) Travel to and from origination of travel and Santa Fe, NM; 2) lodging accommodations enroute to or in Santa Fe, NM or after WorldForum; 3) meals outside of those provided during WorldForum.

Note: A single registration fee and single CEO grant credit applies to all 3 persons from the same child welfare organization (or accompanying persons) provided that 1 of the 3 persons is the organization’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Registration Deadline to receive CEO Grant Credit is August 16, 2016.  After this date, registration fees will be the full amount, without the grant credit, for up to three persons from the same organization.  All amounts are in US$.

Associate Membership:

For individuals wishing to participate in the WorldForum who are not associated with a specific child welfare organization, IFCW offers an annual Associate Membership non-voting status. The WorldForum registration fee for Associate Members in US$695 and includes the 2016 IFCW Associate Membership fee.

Additional Attendees:

If you wish to register more than 3 people to WorldForum 2016, we have an excellent opportunity for you.  There is a rate listed for “Additional Attendees” that is $695 per person.


The organizer reserves the right to postpone or cancel WorldForum 2016 if minimum registration requirements are not met or as a result of Force Majeure and will make all attempts to notify registrants of cancellation or postponement at the earliest opportunity. The organizers are not responsible for any costs incurred by registrants due to cancellation or postponement, including, but not limited to registration fees, airfares and hotels.

Registrant Cancellation Policy:

The organizer offers a refund of WorldForum registration fees, minus a 10% administrative fee, only on cancellations emailed or postmarked before 16 August 2016 by the registered CEO and including cancellation of accompanying attendees on the same registration.

Registrants Who Require VISAS:

Once registered, attendees requiring a visa to enter the United States may request from the WorldForum organizer a personal letter of invitation and confirmation of the individual’s registration. 

Hotel Information:

The Eldorado Hotel and Spa in Santa Fe, New Mexico will be the venue for WorldForum 2016.  You can make your reservations directly with the hotel by calling 1-800-955-4455 and using booking ID 4960 or using this link which will connect you to a Web reservation page specifically for WorldForum attendees. The cut off date for receiving this rate is August 27, 2016.

IFCW has reserved a block of rooms at one rate (whether single or double occupancy) of $199 US per night (plus tax and local fees). Hotel fees are not included in the WorldForum registration fee. All attendees will book and pay their hotel fees directly.
