INTERNATIONAL FORUM FOR CHILD WELFARE
I am contacting you to provide an update on planning with regard
to IFCW's upcoming WorldForum2006. As you know this major symposium
has been scheduled to take place November 19 to 22, 2006 in Vancouver,
British Columbia, Canada. This world class event, which is expected
to attract several hundred delegates, will be co hosted by IFCW
along with the Provinces of British Columbia, Alberta and the Child
Welfare League of Canada.
This WorldForum provides us all with a rich opportunity to exchange
ideas and experiences and learn from one another. We expect that
the program will have broad appeal featuring the latest in child
welfare research, knowledge and practice as well as dynamic key
note speakers. Please note that the 'call for papers' has
been extended to April 21, 2006. I would like
to encourage all of our IFCW member organizations to submit their
proposals for consideration.
A special reduced registration rate has been negotiated for IFCW
members for this WorldForum. As well, exceptional hotel rates of
$80.00 CAD for a single and $110 CAD for a double are available
at the five star Fairmont Hotel Vancouver which is situated in the
middle of downtown Vancouver where the entire event takes place.

Plans are underway for an interesting WorkForum and an Annual General
Assembly for IFCW members only. As more detail is available, I will
be in touch. In the meantime, please act quickly to register for
the WorldForum and make your reservations, as I expect the hotel
will soon be full, given these attractive rates.
