ILO
"Investing in Decent Work for Women: Not just right, but smart",
7 March, Geneva
Thoughout
the years, the ILO has firmly established itself in the Geneva community,
as well as through the field offices, as a regular host for a major
series of events commemorating International
Women's Day, highlighting the role and/or achievements of women
in a particular field of work, or associating the events with the
ILO's ongoing work in gender equity and in improving the situation
of women in the world of work. This year, the slogan "Investing
in Decent Work for women: Not just right, but smart", is based on
the overwhelming evidence that promoting equality is not only a
matter of human rights, but it also makes good economic sense. Find
here the 2008 Invitation
and panellists.
